High School - Planning Your Path to a Satisfying Career (SESSION 2 - Saturday 8-12 p.m.; March 25th)
Wisdom starts with knowledge. Through gaining self-awareness and knowledge about how your student is specifically wired, they can begin making informed choices concerning their high school academics, extra-curricular activities, and post-high school plans that not only use their inherent strengths and skills, but also reveal their purpose. In this 4 hour workshop, we will explore the results of your student’s online assessment that matches their aptitude, skills, and interests to over 500 careers and majors. Next, we will explore their experiences, giftings, aptitudes, and passions that shape their purpose and calling in life. We will use this information to begin personal career research. We will then discuss their choice of coursework and electives that can intentionally set them up for their future plan. We will also discuss extra-curricular activities and community service opportunities that can inform their choices and continue to provide valuable knowledge of their specific interests. Lastly, we will discuss internships and job shadowing that will open up opportunities for future employment, certifications or degrees by taking into account all the knowledge gained in this workshop.
